The Grand Turk

The Grand Turk was launched in Marmaris, Turkey on 12 August 1997. It is a reproduction of an 18th century Man of War, and starred in the television series of Hornblower as the British ship 'Indefatigable' and also as the French ship 'Papillon'. It achieved this dual role by having one side painted red to represent 'Papillon' and the other side yellow to represent 'Indefatigable'. The Grand Turk also starred in the television  programme 'Longitude'.
