Royal Crescent

Royal Crescent

There are 30 houses in the Royal Crescent, completed in 1767 by John Wood the younger, they took 8 years to build. One of these houses could be rented for £130 per year in the 18th C.

No 1 Royal Crescent

No 1 Royal Crescent is now a museum, it has been restored to look like an 18th century townhouse.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Georgian Garden:

Located just off Gravel Walk in Royal Victoria Park, it was restored in the 1980s, this garden has original 18th century paths and flowerbeds.

Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases Royal Mineral Water Hospital established by act of Parliament as The Hospital or The Infirmary in the City of Bath AD 1739.
